Pre-Care Instructions

Please read the following Pre-Care Instructions in order to achieve the best results from your procedure. These instructions are designed to limit bleeding and skin sensitivities during the procedure.

  • Do not consume alcohol and caffeine 24 hours prior to your scheduled appointment

  • Do not take Aspirin, Niacin, and Advil/Ibuprofen 48 hours before your procedure. Tylenol is OK!

  • Avoid the following herbs and spices 48 hours before the procedure: ginger, cinnamon, garlic, black and cayenne pepper

  • Also, refrain from Vitamin E and Fish Oil Supplements 7 days prior to your appointment

  • Everything listed above are blood thinners which will cause you to bleed excessively during your procedure. Excessive bleeding will dilute the pigment and lead to poor results. In some cases, we may have to stop the procedure

  • Do not work out on the day of your procedure

  • No waxing, threading, tinting, shaving, or tweezing 1 week prior to your appointment. The more natural hair we have to work with, the better!

  • No tanning 2 weeks prior

  • Avoid the use of Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA) around the brow area 2 weeks prior

  • Discontinue use of Retin-A/Retinol and avoid Chemical Peels, Microdermabrasion, and other invasive facials 3 weeks prior

  • Botox and filler on the forehead, temple, and eye area should be avoided 2 months before the procedure for those who do not regularly receive injectables. 4 weeks if you are a regular

  • NOTE FOR FEMALES: You will be more sensitive during your menstrual cycle

Post-Care Instructions

It is essential that you follow the Post-Care Instructions to achieve the best results from your procedure and to prolong the life of your new brows! Failure to follow these directions may lead to poor results.

  • Immediately following your procedure, wash your brows every 2-3 hours using the cleanser provided in your after-care kit. Hands must be clean before touching your brows

  • Allow your brows to completely dry (pat or air dry) before applying ointment. Avoid using abrasive washcloths or sponges

  • Apply a thin layer of ointment (rice size amount) on each brow. Repeat this 2-3 times a day for the next 10 days. A good rule of thumb is to apply the ointment morning, noon, and night

  • DO NOT rub, pick, or scratch the treated area. Let any scabbing or dry skin exfoliate naturally. Picking can cause scarring and pigment loss

  • Avoid heavy sweating as a result of any exercise to include sweating on your face, the use of whirlpools, saunas, and steam rooms for 10 days. Sweating through or on your brows will expel the pigment, producing poor results

  • Keep your hair pulled back away from your face for 10 days

  • Refrain from sleeping face down on your brows for 10 days

  • Do not use makeup or skincare products on your brows for 10 days

  • Maintain removal of unwanted brow hair outside of your brow design by tweezing, threading, waxing, or shaving after 2 weeks.

  • Avoid direct sun exposure and tanning beds for a minimum of 4 weeks. Use a hat or visor when out in the sun. Direct sunlight can cause the pigment to change color and may also cause scarring and hyper-pigmentation

  • Avoid Retin-A/Retinol, Chemical Peels, Microdermabrasion for 4 weeks and continue to avoid application around the brow area once fully healed. THESE PRODUCTS CAN CAUSE YOUR PIGMENT/COLOR TO FADE!

PLEASE NOTE: After the procedure, your brows will appear 35-50% darker and bolder than they will be once healed. Do not be concerned; this is all part of the healing process!
